A Cabaret is a social dance organized by Danceland on the first Saturday of every month with the aim of providing a fantastic place to gather with your family and friends to dance the night away. Music is provided by the wonderful hosts, Ray and Shelley Salmon, in a combination of the Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue styles. Prizes are given out for various games during progressive dances, having the opportunity to win bottles of champagne, wine, chocolate blocks and even scratchies!
At various Cabaret’s throughout the year, Danceland are proud to provide a floor show performed by any number of our studio’s competition couples or even special guest artists. Danceland is the home of many of the best dancers in Australia so our floor shows are always looked forward to and enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
Twice a year, Danceland hosts a special Cabaret evening – the Winter Ball on the first Saturday night in June and the Christmas Party on a decided date in December. At these special events, a supper is provided for everyone and people tend to wear some of their better attire. These special events are $15pp.
Danceland events have the most fantastic atmosphere and vibe in the new studio so we hope everyone can come and experience it at one of our famous Cabaret’s!
Cabaret dates:
Cabarets are held on the 'First Saturday of every Month'.
What to wear: Smart attire and, of course, dance shoes!
What to bring: At normal Cabaret events you will need to bring your own beverages and nibbles. A supper is provided at our Winter Ball and Christmas Party.
Where to go: The Danceland studio at 24/25 Ourimbah Road, Tweed Heads.
Cost: $12pp for normal Cabaret’s and $15pp for special events, which include a meal.
